The FHI 360-Led Act to End NTDs | West Team

FHI 360 leads USAID’s Act to End NTDs | West program and financial management and provides management oversight with expertise in NTD capacity building; WASH; malaria; social and behavior change; gender; the collaborating, learning, and adapting process; health systems strengthening (HSS); and monitoring, evaluation and learning. In addition to leading the project, FHI 360 implements Act to End NTDs | West activities in Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal.

Helen Keller International (HKI) supports NTD capacity building and integration with nutrition, school-based and child health interventions. HKI is the implementing partner in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea, Mali, Niger, and Sierra Leone.

Health and Development International’s (HDI) collaboration with Togo’s MOH led to Togo becoming the first African country to eliminate LF as a public health problem. HDI is the implementing partner in Togo.

Cross-Cutting Partners

Deloitte supports HSS and sustainability activities for Act to End NTDs | West, assisting national health and finance ministries in NTDP planning, costing, supply chain management, innovative financing, and resource mobilization. World Vision supports cross-sectoral coordination with WASH, malaria, nutrition, and school-based programming and leverage its WASH programming and private and other funders in Ghana, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Sierra Leone. Americares provides warehouse management support and secure drug donations to treat secondary effects of MDA and reduce NTD morbidity. AIM Initiative assists with assessing the morbidity burden and provide management strategies for dossier development.

Health & Development International (HDI) is an NGO with a special focus on people who suffer indignity and preventable socio-economic damage due to diseases that can be completely eradicated or eliminated as a public health problem. Dedicated toward preventing obstetric fistula and deaths from obstructed labor, preventing women from bleeding to death when they give birth, eradicating Guinea worm disease and lymphatic filariasis in Africa and elsewhere, all that HDI does aims to advance world public health, human dignity, and the socio-economic development of under-resourced populations.r

ALM Initiative

American Leprosy Missions (ALM) is a Christian global health and development organization serving people affected by neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). ALM works with a network of more than 50 partners around the world to research and implement innovative and scalable programs to stop these diseases and improve the well-being of affected people and communities through disease detection, diagnosis and treatment, health worker training, community development, morbidity management, disability prevention, health system strengthening, disease mapping and vaccine research.

World Vision has over 25 years of global experience fighting NTDs in developing regions of Africa, Asia, and the Americas. World Vision collaborates with local ministries of health, other aid organizations, and private companies to address NTDs through mass distribution of food products, drugs (primarily Albendazole, Mebendazole, and vitamin A), medical supplies, and water and sanitation.
