USAID’s Act to End NTDs | West Program focuses on the elimination and control of five NTDs in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. Building upon the achievements of USAID’s END in Africa and ENVISION projects in West Africa, the Program seeks to support these countries’ efforts to eliminate lymphatic filariasis (LF) and trachoma as well as onchocerciasis (in selected countries) as public health problems. It also seeks to improve national NTD program capacity to sustain long-term control programs for schistosomiasis, soil-transmitted helminthiasis, and (in certain countries) onchocerciasis and to mainstream NTD programs into national health systems.
