Cote d’Ivoire stopped mass drug administration (MDA) for lymphatic filariasis in 70% of endemic health districts (HDs); 69 out of 99 HDs as of FY22 (October 2021 – September 2022). 20 more HDs are due to conduct stop MDA surveys (TAS1) in June 2023.

Côte d’Ivoire has been conducting annual mass drug administration (MDA) to eliminate lymphatic filariasis in all 99 endemic districts since 2016. In 2021, all endemic districts successfully completed at least five high coverage MDA and are currently conducting impact assessment surveys to determine improvement in infection prevalence and interruption of transmission of the causative parasite.

Although baseline mapping for trachoma only started in 2015, 60% of all districts in the country have now been mapped. 50% have already completed their MDA rounds as of FY21 (October 2020 – September 2021).
